INSTRUCTOR TRAINING-American Red Cross Basic Life Support

Class Price:	$325.00

This class will train Instructor Candidates to teach the Basic Life Support American Red Cross course. It is a blended learning course with online content and classroom segments. The Online material must be completed before attending the classroom activities. The First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification is valid for 2 years.

Course Prerequisites:

• A current hands-on Basic Life Support certificate. A printed copy must be turned in at class check-in. (Certification can be from The Red Cross, American Heart Association, ASHI, Medic First Aid, or NSC)  If you do not have a current hands-on certification, call us for class availability and a discount. -A printed copy of your current card must be turned in at check-in. Digital copies will not be accepted.
• Correctly demonstrate pediatric CPR/AED and choking management skills at the start of class. If the skills are not demonstrated at a professional competency instructor level after one correction, you will be asked to reschedule.
•  Completion of the American Red Cross Basic Life Support Instructor Course Online Session before the Instructor class. -The completion certificate or the RedCross "Online Component Completed" email from no-reply@redcross.org must be printed and turned in at check-in. Digital copies will not be accepted. 

Course Requirements:

• Prompt arrival with all paperwork printed and turned in at check-in is required. Digital copies will not be accepted. Any student not able to meet these requirements will be asked to reschedule.
• Active participation during the in-person session, including practice and hands-on portions. 
• Demonstrate competency of skills during all skills demonstrations.
• First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor's Manual -printed version

For a smooth class experience and fullness of integrating instruction, purchase a hard copy or print your digital copy to bring to class.  Given the class structure, managing all the moving parts in digital format and teaching is very difficult. Both are available for purchase during registration and in class.
